The Kiwanis Club of Tecumseh seeks to serve the community in many ways. Since May 9, 1956, the Tecumseh club's membership - individuals who are very active leaders in many business, professional and education endeavors - have served their local community through various service and fund-raising projects for the benefit of youth, senior citizens and the community as a whole.

| What Do We Do? |
|
Every Tuesday morning at 7 o'clock, a group of about 60 Tecumseh area individuals get together for an hour for breakfast at the Tecumseh United Methodist Church. These individuals come together for the same purpose….to make Tecumseh a better community than it would be if they had all just slept in an hour later! That's why each year, these dedicated members raise thousands of dollars-primarily from working the summer races at MIS, the sale of Travel and Adventure Series Tickets, and other projects enthusiastically supported by the group. One hundred percent of these funds are used for the benefit of Kiwanis sponsored activities such as Boy Scouts, Little League teams, student scholarships, and Christmas and other holiday parties for children with special needs. There are three children's hospitals and inter-denominational spiritual and religious projects that enjoy its support-both of time and money. Tecumseh's citizens in general benefit by their several community service projects.
